- Business Page Data: When you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram account to our Services, we access page-level data including messages, comments, post engagement metrics, and follower information as authorized by you through Facebook Login.
- Messaging Data: Content of conversations on Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct Messages sent to connected business Pages, used solely to provide customer engagement and analytics features within our platform.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Services, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers collected automatically.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- Process and respond to inquiries and customer service requests
- Aggregate and analyze messaging and engagement data to provide insights to business Page owners
- Send marketing communications (with your consent) related to our products and services
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
Facebook & Instagram Platform Data
Our application AdStrike integrates with the Meta (Facebook) platform. When you authorize our application, we request specific permissions to access your Facebook Page and Instagram account data. We adhere to Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Specifically:
- We only access data that you explicitly authorize through the Facebook Login flow
- We use pages_messaging permission to read and manage conversations on your Facebook Page through Messenger
- We use instagram_manage_messages permission to read and respond to Instagram Direct Messages on your behalf
- We do not sell, rent, or share your Facebook or Instagram data with third parties for their own marketing purposes
- We store platform data securely and retain it only as long as necessary to provide our Services
- You may revoke our access at any time through your Facebook or Instagram settings
YouTube API Services
Our application AVC Uploader uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to a YouTube channel that the account holder owns and has authorized. By using any feature of our Services that relies on YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we access: an OAuth access token for the authorized channel, the channel's ID and title (to confirm uploads go to the correct channel), and the metadata of videos we upload (title, description, privacy status, and video ID)
- What we do not access: we do not read, collect, or store data about other YouTube users, viewers, comments, subscribers, or analytics, and we do not download or re-host YouTube content
- How we use it: solely to upload videos that the channel owner has recorded and approved, and to verify that each upload reached the intended channel
- Sharing: YouTube API data is never sold, and is not shared with any third party except Google as needed to perform the upload
- Storage: OAuth tokens are stored on access-controlled systems and are never published or placed in documents
- Revoking access: you can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at Google security settings
- Deletion: when access is revoked, or on request, we delete stored YouTube API data, including tokens, within 7 days
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our Services (hosting, analytics, email delivery), bound by confidentiality obligations
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Platform data from Facebook and Instagram is retained only while your account is active and connected. Upon disconnection or account deletion, we delete platform data within 30 days.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Revoke platform access through your Facebook or Instagram account settings
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data, email us at matt@shepardconsulting.ai with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process your request within 30 days. You may also remove our app's access through your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites at any time. For Google and YouTube, you can revoke access at Google security settings, and we delete stored YouTube API data within 7 days of revocation or request.

Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
